Lid Vizion, LLC – Privacy Policy

The following privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how Lid Vizion, LLC (“Lid Vizion” , “We” , “Our” or “Us”) services, websites, apps, software, servers, and devices (“Services” or “Service”) processes data, why it processes it, and for what purposes. Your privacy is important to us. Please read all the details in this Privacy Policy. 

Security

Personal information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Further, We use industry standard encryption software, Secured Socket Layer (SSL), where the URL will change from HTTP to HTTPS if it isn’t already, and display a lock symbol.  We also deploy software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or otherwise cause damage to the Services. 

Cookies

Most Lid Vizion Services use cookies, small text files placed on your device which web servers in the domain that placed the cookie can retrieve later. We use cookies to store your preferences and settings, help with sign-in, provide relevant ads, and improve the performance and operations of the Services. 

More specifically, We collect the following information when you visit Our Services:

  • General information—Internet domain; Internet Protocol (IP) address; operating system; the browser used to access Our Services; the date and time you access the Services; and the pages you visit. Additionally, We collect information that identifies the software acting on your behalf and the device that you are using if you access the Services through a mobile or wireless network. We use the information to improve the Services. We also use it to learn about what locations people are accessing the Services from, provide more relevant and timely information, and to ensure that the Services are properly interacting with the different types of systems used to visit Our Services. We also use this information to alert Us of any possible Services performance issues and to identify, prevent, or mitigate the effects of fraudulent transactions.
  • Statistical and referral information from links, banner ads, pop-up ads, or other advertisements contained within or external to the Services. This data may include aggregated data such as the number of clicks on a particular ad. It may also include specific data, such as repeat or unique visits; whether you visited a page with a banner ad on it or clicked on an ad banner; the value, date and time of a transaction or sale; and the identity of the site which you linked to or from the Services. We collect this information to know which links and banner ads are effective.

How the Data is Collected – Web Analysis Tools

We use third party analytics providers, such as Google Analytics, to analyze data from cookies. These providers do not receive any personally identifiable information, and are prohibited from combining, matching or cross-referencing our data with any other information. We have also limited the provider’s ability to see your full IP address (a process known as “IP masking”). Please refer to Google Analytics security and privacy principles for more information.

Cookies

Cookies can be categorized as session or persistent, which describes the length of time that they stay on your system. Both session and persistent cookies are used in the Services. The following are detailed descriptions of how We use these types of cookies.

Session Cookies

Session cookies are small pieces of text information that a server places on your browser temporarily while the browser is open. These cookies are erased once you close the browser entirely. We use session cookies, including but not limited to, in the following ways: 

Login and logout administration—If you decide to register with Our Services, session cookies are used to help with the login and logout process. The cookies enable Us to recognize your login ID when you login so that We do not create duplicate records pertaining to registration or administration for you.

Service usability and performance — We use session cookies to improve how you navigate through the Services. For example, session cookies are used to maintain your online session as you navigate through several pages, to store and pre-populate information so that you do not have to reenter the same information twice and can see more relevant responses and information. Session cookies can also be used to collect referral statistics when you click on a link or ad banner.

Persistent Cookies

Persistent cookies are small pieces of text stored on your device locally for a set period of time, once expired, these cookies are erased. We use persistent cookies, including but not limited to, the following ways:

Account Security — We use a persistent cookie to automatically log you off of the Services if there has been no activity for 15 minutes. This is done to keep your account secure, such that if you have finished using the Services, but forgot to log out, no one else can use your device to access your account via your already logged in credentials. The cookie is permanently removed from your device when you log off, or, if you close the browser without logging out, it is removed within 15 minutes from your last activity.

Opt-in Cookies—Persistent cookies allow Us to recognize you when you return to the Services, or to remember certain information that you have provided Us. This feature allows you to log in to the Services automatically, without having to enter your credentials each visit. The cookie assigns a random number to you, which We link to personal information you have provided. This allows Us to personalize the Services for you and tailor the content to your needs. Other cookies allow Us to remember certain information related to prior activity, so that We can pre-populate information and increase the user experience of the Services. These features and cookies are strictly for your convenience. We will also present you with a convenient way to remove the cookies, via where you manage your account, if you decide later that you want to terminate one or more of these functions. These cookies will expire one year from your last visit.

Banner Ad Cookies—On behalf of Us, some persistent cookies and beacons may be implemented and managed by third party advertisers to support ad banners. Ad banner cookies are set when you view or click on an ad banner on the Services and persists for no more than five years.

Usage Statistics —Our site measurement tool uses a persistent cookie to assist Us in measuring how and when Our Services and its various components are used. It functions as a “visit cookie,” so that we can determine if you are a repeat visitor. This allows Us to know if We are attracting new visitors and what aspects of the Services seem most useful. The cookie will expire 30 days after your last visit.

Security – Analytical information and data derived from the Services are protected behind Our firewall, or a secure firewall of one of Our service provider’s.

Web Beacons

A web beacon is used on webpages and emails to unobtrusively check that a user has accessed specific content. Web beacons are used to monitor the effectiveness of content, ad banners, to gather usage and analytical information, and other Services related information. Our web beacons are not linked to personal information and are focused on certain actions taken within the Services. 

Third Party Tools

We permit third party analysis tools solely if it is in performance of the Services and if they comply fully with this Privacy Policy or substantially similar protections. 

The Services also use Google Maps to provide location specific information, calculate directions, and provide additional geographic information to increase the user experience of the Services. Please review Google Maps Privacy Policy to understand more about how Google Maps handles the data it collects. 

We may also collect data that is publicly available about you such as submitted information on public forums or on social media. We may collect information such as demographic information to enhance the experience We provide to you. 

Opting Out of Cookies

You can opt-out of banner ad cookies without opting out of other cookies. To opt-out of these advertising related cookies, please click here, to be taken to a third party site that explains this process. 

To opt-out of all cookies, please click here, and you can change your browser settings accordingly. You will still be able to access most features of the Services, however, certain features may not fully function or be unavailable, you may not have the same performance, or otherwise receive a personalized or same user experience than you currently have. 

Protections for Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from those under 13, without parental notice and consent. We use commercially reasonable efforts to protect the safety and privacy of any child participating in the Services, in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). 

We use commercially reasonable efforts to obtain verifiable parental consent prior to collecting or using any personal information from those under the age of 13. How we verify this consent can vary accordingly to how the child wishes to participate or based on how the parental authority provides consent. For example, this consent could include, but is not limited to, online methods such as via email, a secure portal, text, or offline methods such as fax or mail. Children accounts are associated with the parental authority and thus parents can review any personal information collected from their children after verifying parental consent. Parents can revoke their consent and delete information collected for their children at their discretion.  

De-Identified or Aggregated Information

Personal information can be de-identified and/or aggregated where We remove all personally identifiable aspects of the information and thus it is not treated as personal information. This information is often used to provide third parties with insights into improving Our Services, for marketing, investment research or for other legally permissible purposes. These third parties may use and disclose this information for their own business purposes. 

Do Not Track signals

We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals received from internet browsers. 

How to access and control your personal data

You can also make choices about the collection and use of your data by Lid Vizion. You can control your personal data that Lid Vizion has obtained, and exercise your data protection rights, by contacting Lid Vizion or using various tools We provide. In some cases, your ability to access or control your personal data will be limited, as required or permitted by applicable law. How you can access or control your personal data will also depend on which Services you use. For example, you can choose whether you wish to receive promotional emails, SMS messages, telephone calls, and postal mail from Lid Vizion, affiliates, or partners.

Not all personal data processed by Lid Vizion can be accessed or controlled via the tools above. If you want to access or control personal data processed by Lid Vizion that is not available via the tools above or directly through the Lid Vizion Services you use, you can always contact Lid Vizion at (privacy at lidvizion.com).

Categories, Use, and Sharing of Personal Information Collected

With a Lid Vizion account, you can sign in to Lid Vizion Services, as well as those of select Lid Vizion partners. 

Categories of personal data associated with your Lid Vizion account includes, but is not limited to, credentials, name and contact data, physical address, device and usage data (including but not limited to the type of device, details about the operating system, battery level, signal strength, available storage, browser type, and app and file names and types), your contacts, information about your activities, your images and videos and the metadata contained therein, materials and locations. 

Examples of how your personal information may be used includes, but is not limited to, personalization, improving the Services, consistent experiences across Services and devices, analytics, measurement, and other business services, promoting safety, security, troubleshooting, and integrity, providing notification and communications to you, researching and academic related initiatives to promote sustainability and social good. Our processing of personal data for these purposes includes both automated and manual (human) methods of processing. Our automated methods often are related to and supported by Our manual methods. For example, our automated methods include artificial intelligence (AI), which We think of as a set of technologies that enable computers to perceive, learn, reason, and assist in decision-making to solve problems in ways that are similar to what people do. To build, train, and improve the accuracy of Our automated methods of processing (including AI), We manually review some of the predictions and inferences produced by the automated methods against the underlying data from which the predictions and inferences were made. For example, We manually review images scanned after we have taken steps to de-identify the image to improve our recognition Services, such as computer vision models.

Parties whom each category of Personal Information may be disclosed to, new owners in the event of a change of ownership or control of all or part of the Services, or all or substantially all of Lid Vizion’s assets, Partners, including partners offering good and services, vendors, including measurement and marketing vendors, service providers, third parties, including external researchers and academics, law enforcement or third parties in connection with legal requests to comply with applicable law or to prevent harm. 

If you sign into a Service offered by a third party with your Lid Vizion account, you will share with that third party the account data required by that Service.

Exercising right provided under United States Privacy Laws

Depending on where you live and subject to certain exceptions, you may have some or all of the following rights: 

Right to Access Information. You have the right to access and obtain a copy of your personal data.

Right to Request Deletion. You have the right to request that We delete personal data provided by or obtained about you.

Right to Correct Information. You have the right to correct inaccuracies in your personal data that We maintain.

Right to Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising. You may ask Us not to use or disclose your information for the purposes of targeting advertising to you based on your personal data.

Right to Non-Discrimination. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights.

As applicable, you may appeal a refusal to take action on a request by contacting Us by email at (privacy at lidvizion.com).

Note that We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. In some cases, we may need to collect additional information, such as your government issued identification card. 

Under certain United States privacy laws, you can also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If you use an authorized agent to submit a request, we may need to collect additional information, such as a government issued identification card, to protect your personal information. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process requests through automated tools via your password protected account. 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Any and all information collected is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time of collection. However, We may, in Our sole discretion, change this Privacy Policy at any time, and if a revision is material, as determined by our sole discretion, We will issue a notice to you via the email on file. The current version in effect will always be available via this Privacy Policy page.
